Hi guys! I'm currently waiting for my dinner to digest, and then it's off to the gym! I figured I'd write and let you guys know what I'm doing that is NEW today...
I am going to (ATEMPT) to do a workout consisting of 4 exercises, 100 reps each exercise. Yes, you read that correctly, I will be doing 100 repetitions of each exercise...and I am feeling up to the challenge 100%.
I just took my pre workout (below) and am really getting amped up for this workout!
Today I am working shoulders, so I will be doing the following exercises:
*drum roll ..... *
I just took my pre workout (below) and am really getting amped up for this workout!
For my pre workout supplement, I use a product from Cellucor called "M5..." and I would recommend it to anyone. (If you have any questions, let me know. Or, I could do a whole post on pre workouts if people seem to be interested)
Stability Ball Dumbbell Shoulder Press
Leaning Lateral Dumbbell Raises
Front Lateral Dumbbell Raises
Dumbbell Shrugs
(I will add pictures of all of these and explain them in tonight's post)
(I will add pictures of all of these and explain them in tonight's post)
I will also be completing 25 minutes of cardio today as well. I will be doing HIIT training.
HIIT training stands for High Intensity Interval Training. HIIT training is all about doing your workout (in this case, cardio) in intervals. Intervals meaning, sprinting for 1 minute, walking for 2...(or any variation that works for you) which is what I will be doing today. I usually start my walking pace at a level 3.7 on the treadmill and at an incline of 2.0. For my minute sprints, I raise the speed to 7.8-8.0 and keep the incline at 2.0. Try this HIIT workout for 25 minutes - it will really get your heart rate up!
After I finish my cardio and shoulder exercises, I will also do a short ab workout. I haven't decided what exercises I will be doing today yet, but I will let you know after my workout :)
I must give credit to this 400 rep workout idea to one of my favorite Figure Models, Missy Coles. I saw that she did a 400 rep workout for her lower body and now I just have to try it! Thinking about it, I do think that this routine would be better to do on a lower body day, because there are more muscles that you can work, rather than what I'm doing today, just shoulders. But I am too excited about it, so I'm trying it today for shoulders regardless.
Wish me luck! Let me know what you guys think of this idea.
Get out there and try it! Let me know how it goes for you! I'm sure in tomorrow's post I will be writing about how incredibly sore I am :)
See you guys tonight!
Love,
Fitness Felicia
P.S. Thanks for all the responses I received for my last post. Knowing that people are actually reading and following what I'm doing is really amazing. I'm glad that I can be of some inspiration to get others working out or can provide healthful ideas for people. It really inspires me to keep this up. Hopefully things only go up from here! <3
and remember...
I really enjoyed reading The Swarm. It kept me engrossed from start to finish with only one or two slow bits that I still found interesting. The characters are very well written so you can get into their heads. I thought there was plenty of action interspersed throughout the story, but the non-action was just as good. Excellent explanation of the problem at hand and how it was discovered etc.
